Being a mommy means...

…feeling responsible when your baby doesn’t sleep.

…fighting back tears when you put your baby down for 30 seconds to use the bathroom because he’s not feeling well so he bawls until you pick him up again.

…calling your mom when you are at your wit’s end after 9 hours of your baby getting only 1 hour of sleep and crying almost every time you put him down.

…celebrating when he naps for longer than 15 minutes.

…snuggling under the blankets in the mornings before either of you are fully awake.

…getting smiles and giggles when you kiss his fingers (which you do every chance you get even though you know that hand was just recently being slobbered on).

…loving all those wonderful people who love your baby.

  1. I totally feel you on the sleep issues. Miles was like that a LOT when he was tiny. Your heart just breaks for that beautiful little person, especially when you know you can't fix it. :(

Hope J is doing better today. Hugs to you both.
